2. I am wearing a lot of red these days to make up for my pale lips, my walk-on part eyes, the shortened sunlight. A Canadian B-celebrity is in a play at the theatre and everyone is kissing his ass. The bartender sneaks me shots of whiskey in a coke can after intermission and we tell each other who is sleeping with who, which in a gay theatre, is an intricate tree of hands and mouths.

3. It takes 40 cups of coffee to kill you. I want to test this theory but my girlfriend, sipping blueberry tea slowly says your impulsivity is unsettling. She brings me a double Americano and a straw when the plays last more than two hours.
